              The Civil Rights Act of 1964  : Landmark law that
              outlawed discrimination based on “race,” color,
              religion, sex, or national origin. This Bill passed

              congress with 80% yea votes from Republicans, and
              62% yea Democrat votes.


            -  The Voting Rights Act of 1965    32, 33, and 34 : Prohibited

              states and local government from imposing any voting
              law that discriminates against “racial” or language
              minorities. This Bill passed with 87% yea votes from


              Republicans, and 78% yea votes from Democrats.

            -  The Civil Rights Act of 1968   36, 37 : This Bill provided
              comprehensive Civil Rights and Fair Housing. This Law

              passed congress with 87% yea votes from Republicans,
              and 67% yea votes from Democrats.

            - Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968
              Provide large scale expansion of public housing in

              urban areas across the USA.  However, it came with
              massive funding.  This legislation passed congress with

              only 44% yea votes from congressional Republicans,
              and 64% yea votes from Democrats.  This lower rate of

              votes was due to the fact that it did not gain support
