squashed during the Jim Crowe era. At that time,

America was reaching a breaking point.

Clearly GOD used this extraordinary man, Reverend and

Pastor, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to lead America out of
the abominable oppressions that prevailed during the

Jim Crowe era. Even though his documented views on
the birth and resurrection of CHRIST were inconsistent

with Biblical Gospel 27-4 , his movement drew heavily on
the precepts of Christianity. The central theme of Dr.
King’s non-violent movement was inspired by the

success of Mahatma Gandhi’s 27-3 non-violence
movement coupled with the appeal likening the Civil

Rights struggles with Israel’s deliverance from slavery in
Egypt 27-4 .

These two precepts set Reverend King apart from the
leaders of the ages who had used force. King was able

to lead a civil rights movement that eventually defeated
determined resistance with peaceful and non-violent

protest that appealed to the righteous heart of human
dignity. Despite intense attacks from mobs, Klansman,

and the remnants of Jim Crowe police who responded
with ferocious dogs and high pressure fire hoses,

Reverend King’s campaigns awakened truth and
motivated humanity to change. His campaigns appealed
to the heart, as well as the intellect.
