the national debt.

With Reverend King’s leadership, the legislative

initiatives that were brought forward during this time
each received bipartisan support. It is interesting that

GOP congressman enthusiastically supported each Bill.
With exception of the costly Urban Development Act,

GOP Congressmen were the key proponents that
enabled the passage of the landmark Civil Rights Bills
that stand today. They backed these Bills with 80-90%

affirmative votes. Given the GOP history as the
Abolitionist Party, and given their decisive support of

this watershed Civil Rights legislation, the GOP is often
unfairly disparaged. We will explore the deceptions of

why and how this is now occurring in subsequent
discussions.

Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Greatness
What set this exceptional man apart from all others over

generations? His lifework upheld GOD’s plan to establish
the essential dignity and rights of all humanity. He

offered the only real and lasting solution to human
strife. His precepts were solidly anchored in Biblical

principles and on the solid foundations of the US
Constitution. His famous “I have a Dream” speech was

and is a beautiful summation that embodies all that
