Chapter 6 : Corruption in the “Carbon World”
was reduced to 430 tonnes: a big difference, with no explanation. But in the meantime many planning
applications are believed to have been approved on the higher estimate.
The IPCCC operated for years without any conflict‐of‐interest policy but one was drafted in May 2011 requiring
officials and authors disclose to any financial and other interest relevant to their work. Talk about closing the
stable door after the horse has bolted. The UNFCCC leaves it to Executive Board members to volunteer whether
they have conflicting interests or not. Bless!
It is not necessary to enumerate all of the conflicting interests in the “Carbon World” but readers
who are interested in checking for themselves should search the Internet for the principal players
such as Rajanadra Pachouri – head of the IPCC and Albert Arnold Gore, Jr and to look at the
sources of funding and political secondments of climatologists and research establishments. Also

the book “Red Hot Lies” by Christopher C Horner contains some very interesting exposes.
While Albert Gore Jr was Vice President of the USA he, and other political leaders, were told by the US National
Academy of Science that the IPCC assessment was not reliable. Backed by ex‐senior officers of Goldman Sachs,
he started Generation Investments which has made millions from his promotion of the “global warming”
narrative. If the USA eventually introduces a “cap and trade” scheme, Mr Gore’s fortune will rise from its present
level of hundreds of millions to billions of dollars. Not bad for a student who only managed a low grade in
environmental studies. Many “greens” are upset that they get the blame for creating the carbon scare and, not
without justification, point to the bankers.
7.4 Loading the Dice
7.4.1 Political Appointments
Virtually all of representatives on all of the influential scientific and other official bodies in the
“Carbon World” are nominated by governments and government agencies, all of whom are
irrevocably committed to the "noble cause". This includes appointments to, among others, the:
Climate Change Committee
IPCC: Board, editorial and other committees
UNFCCC Executive and other boards
Research establishments
Committees enquiring into alleged improper behaviour by CRU, GISS and others
It would be amazing, given such flagrant “loading” if there was not an “overwhelming
consensus”.
