Hansel and Gretel
Once upon a time there were two
children named Hansel and Gretel who
lived in the woods with their father and
stepmother. They were a very poor family.
"We do not have a lot of food. We must
bring the children into the forest and leave
them there so that they can not find their
way home," said the stepmother. "I love my
children too much," replied the woodcutter.
The stepmother screamed until the
woodcutter finally agreed to her plan.
Hansel and Gretel heard about their parents’
plan. That night, Hansel collected lots of
little white rocks.
