A thorough analysis of near misses and incidents can improve work practices and overall safety in the workplace.
Any near miss or safety incident in which you are involved or have observed should be reported to your supervisor
immediately. All employees are expected to aid and assist those conducting field safety audits, analyses, or incident
investigations.
We each have an obligation to lead by example in safeguarding the health, safety, and work environment for every
employee.
WORK INJURY OR ILLNESS
The Company keeps records of all job-related illnesses and accidents which occur during the workday. Workers’
Compensation Laws require employees to report any illness or injury on the job, no matter how slight. If an employee
is hurt, or becomes ill as a result of his or her job, the supervisor should be contacted immediately. If an employee
fails to report an injury, the employee may jeopardize his or her right to collect workers’ compensation payments as
well as health benefits. If the employee’s supervisor is not immediately available, the employee must notify the
Human Resources Department as soon as possible.
As a joint protection to the employee and the Company, employees who have been absent from work because of
serious illness or injury are required to obtain a doctor’s release specifically stating that the employee is capable of
performing his or her normal duties or assignments. A serious injury or illness is defined as one that results in the
employee being absent from work for more than two (2) consecutive weeks or one which may limit the employee’s
future performance of regular duties or assignments.
If the cause of the employee’s illness or injury was job-related, the Human Resources Department will make every
reasonable effort to assign the returning employee to assignments consistent with the instructions of the employee’s
doctor until the employee is fully recovered. A doctor’s written release is required before recovery can be assumed.
VIOLENCE PREVENTION POLICY
Footprint is committed to creating and maintaining a safe environment for our employees and visitors that is free
from violence and threats of violence. Footprint does not tolerate workplace violence or threats in any form. This
includes physical assaults and verbal or physical conduct that is intimidating, menacing, aggressive, threatening,
obscene or abusive or could reasonably be interpreted to potentially cause harm or endanger the safety of others or
property.

No employee, visitor, vendor, or other person may bring, carry, or possess a firearm or other deadly weapon or
destructive device at the sites at which Footprint conducts business, including vehicles used for Company business.
Employees may not bring weapons onto parking lots except where it is allowed by state law and under the conditions
allowed by state law.
The Company reserves the right to prohibit any and all weapons from entering the facility regardless of cause.
Footprint reserves the right to conduct a search or inspection to the extent permissible under applicable law in order
to ensure compliance with this policy pursuant to the Inspections Policy described in this Handbook. Individuals who
violate this policy may be denied access to, or be removed from, Company Premises. Employees who violate this
policy may also be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Reporting Requirement
Employees should report any workplace situation, incident or activity that appears threatening or violent or that
appears to be a violation of the Violence Prevention Policy to a member of management. Footprint will take
reasonable steps to ensure safety and security, including investigating all potential incidents, disciplining employees
responsible for misconduct, summoning law enforcement or assisting in the prosecution of criminal activity.
No Retaliation
No employee will be retaliated against for reporting a possible violation of the Violence Prevention Policy or for
assisting or participating in a complaint investigation.
