At Adelphi, Vickers is at the top of his class, has received numerous awards, and has participated in several academic programs, including the Harvard University Model United Nations, and CloseUp Washington. He is also active in the student General Assembly.Maxwell C. Manning has been appointed to the New York State Commission on Child Support by Governor Mario Cuomo. Manning is a psychotherapist in private practice, and serves as Clinic Director of the Bedford Stuyvesant Community Mental Health Center. He is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers.Barbara Leader has joined the Long Island College Hospital, as director of the newly formed Division of Speech Pathology in the Department of Otolarynology. Before working at LICH, Leader was the staff speech pathologist at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Manhattan. She has also been a Clinical Associate at the School of Health Services at Hunter College, and an instructor in speech pathology and audiology at New York University.The Eggers Group, architects, planners and interior designers based in New York City, have elected Jan Kalas, AIA, executive vice president and shareholder in the firm. She was admitted to the bar but never practiced, and became a member of AHRC%u2019s Board of Directors in 1951.Opened in November 1985, The Blue Feather-Minna D.
