The project calls forrenovating 11 buildings along State Streetand Flatbush and Atlantic Avenue, whichwill have 39 market rate rental housingunits when they are com pleted next year,plus ten retail outlets. The planned $65m illion building will include 435,000 squarefeet of office space and ground floor retailspace as well parking for 225 cars. Fulton Landing developer David W alentas andhis com pany Two Trees Management, are converting a number of the 10 buildingsowned at this site on the East River waterfront. He is also negotiating with the Cityof New York to regain his designation as developer of the 15-acre State and Cityowned waterfront property between the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges. Waientas hopes to develop the area to create a large commercial/recreatton area (approximately 2.5 m illion square feet of space) in this m anufacturing district. W alentas'plan also includes a 100-boat marina, 10-screen movie theater com plex and a majorshopping area as a part of his project. A new restaurant, One Main Street, has justopened its doors in the W alentas Building.Pierrepont BuildingGround w as formally broken in May for the new Pierrepont O ffice Building.
