HEALTHCARE DESIGN
Sales for the Healthcare Design Division in 2022 were
$11.6 million against a target of $8 million, nearly double
the relatively low sales total for 2021. Development of the
relationship with Orlando Health was instrumental in
securing the Women’s Health design-build project. Overall
proposal activity picked up substantially in 2022. Christus
Health of Texas, a new client in 2021, continued to provide
us with opportunities, including the $3.3 million sale of
and Self Regional health systems each accounted for more
than $1 million in sales. The backlog going into 2022 was
$5.3 million, and our pipeline going into 2023 was similar.
CONSULTING
Sales for the Consulting Division were down considerably
in 2022, totaling less than $200,000. There were a
couple of engagements with Novant Health Inc.,
and the Healthcare Design team was able to sell
consulting services to Christus Health. During 2022,
the process of integrating the Consulting Division with
the System Analytics team started with the intent
of taking advantage of greater scale and sharing of
best practices. Going into 2023, the focus will be on
developing new client relationships and diversifying the
markets for which these services can be provided.
LIFE SCIENCES
The first full year of a staffed Life Sciences Division was
quite successful, with more than $4 million in sales. Most
of those sales involved the PiSA Perro Grande project of
$3.4 million. The relationship formed with CSL Seqirus in
2021 developed with two engagements at its Holly Springs,
North Carolina facility. The backlog going into 2023 was
limited, but the pipeline of opportunities remains strong.
