We bank too much onour feelings, at the expense of our possibleoutcomes. Quantify the ways you react touncomfortable situations.Is fear causing you to lose yourconfidence?Your emotions can gloss overvulnerabilities and protect you from reality;for example, saying one thing that youwant to achieve but pulling back when youget uncomfortable.That is exactly what happens to most ofus. One of the best ways to review youremotional reactions is to track them withevidence. Write down how you handled asituation, or if you can, record yourdescription of the event. Wait a day. Thenreview what you wrote or said.Is that how you want to act?Think about what your actions were orwere not versus the way you would like tohave handled them better. When you haveevidence of your emotions, and you arenot shutting down your mind withresistance and walls. You will begin toovercome anything.This will take practice.
