Geum-Sook Wi holds a Ph.D. in Computer Software Engineering
from South Korea. After earning her doctorate, she served as a
professor at the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, an adjunct
professor at Dongguk University’s Department of Information
Industry, and a professor at the Convergence Software Education
Center at Dongguk University. She has experience planning
and building information systems for Government 24 and G4C,
G2B, and has consulted on crisis management systems for
e-Government, road addresses, and disaster management. Her
research includes South Korea’s road address system, postal
code system, and building address system. Dr. Wi has raised
concerns about vulnerabilities in the election process, from a
technical perspective, including the use of QR codes in early
voting, irregularities in ballot storage, and anomalies in the vote-
counting procedure. Dr. Wi ran for proportional representation
in the 22nd National Assembly election with the Gagahoho
Public Declaration Group and serves as the Planning Director
for the Corruption Prevention Division of the National Election
Monitoring Organization (Bubangdae), where she has trained
over 15,000 people.
