Your 2021 Benefits Guide


At DAWSON, we offer our employees a competitive
and comprehensive beneits program to recognize how
important you are to the company. This beneits guide
summarizes DAWSON’s program in a quick and easy-
to-understand way. Please review your plan documents
for more details.


New Hire Enrollment

Welcome to our team! For new employees, your beneits
are effective on your date of hire. You will be permitted
30 days from the date of hire to elect coverage, which
will then be retroactive back to your date of hire.


Changing Your Benefits Mid-Year

Once you make your elections for the 2021 plan year,
you will not be able to make changes until next year’s
annual enrollment unless you experience a qualifying
life event. Examples of qualifying events include the
following.


‹ Change of legal marital status (e.g., marriage,
divorce, death of spouse, legal separation)

‹ Change in number of dependents (e.g., birth,
adoption, death of dependent, ineligibility due to
age)

‹ Change in employment or job status

Please note, you must make changes to your beneits
within 30 days of your qualifying event. If you do not
make changes during this time, you must wait until
next year’s annual enrollment to make your change.
The only beneit that you may change mid-year is your
contribution to the Health Savings Account (HSA) if
enrolled in the HDHP 1 medical plan.

To request a change in beneits due to a qualifying life
event, log into ADP/WorkForceNow and go to Beneits
to request a change within 30 days of the event. The
change will be effective the date of the life event.
