Boost Global Presence
The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media has launched a promotional tour across the United Kingdom covering Leeds, Liverpool
and London, as part of a strategy to expand the emirate’s international visibility and build high-value partnerships in key European tourism
markets.
The department said the tour supports its broader objective of strengthening Ajman’s position on the global tourism map and promoting the
emirate as an integrated cultural and leisure destination supported by modern infrastructure and diversified visitor experiences.
The initiative will showcase Ajman’s tourism and cultural identity, with a focus on its range of travel experiences designed to appeal to
different visitor segments. Officials will also highlight ongoing improvements in tourism facilities, service quality and integrated destination
offerings aligned with the emirate’s long-term tourism development vision.
The programme includes high-level meetings with leading UK tour operators, travel companies and specialised media representatives. These
sessions aim to present tourism and investment opportunities, exchange market insights, and establish long-term cooperation frameworks to
support inbound travel and sustainable destination marketing.
His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Department, said the UK roadshow reflects a proactive and structured
approach to international tourism promotion and source market diversification.
He described the United Kingdom as a strategically important market due to its global tourism and media influence, as well as rising demand
among travellers for destinations that combine culture, leisure and nature-based experiences. He added that the tour is designed to
strengthen awareness of Ajman’s tourism profile and position it as a destination capable of attracting a broad spectrum of visitors.
According to the department, the UK tour forms part of a wider series of international promotional initiatives aimed at reinforcing Ajman’s
global institutional presence, enhancing destination branding, and supporting tourism’s role in sustainable economic development.
