As part of its efforts to promote ‘Customer Service Week’, Sharjah Airport in the UAE has taken the

unusual step of promoting its self-service facilities.

The airport has been highlighting its modern systems, which are linked with the ground handling

provider and with passport control that allows customers to scan their documents, print a boarding

pass and drop luggage without intervention from airport staff.
