to go through your Campus IT coordinator and Dean Wilson. They will assess the devices and review war-
ranties to decide the best path forward of repair or replacement. At the moment, an asset review is being
undertaken to understand the condition and life of devices. Your Campus IT Coordinator will need to take up
any new device requests with the State IT Lead for your region for approval before orders can be placed with
OneSchool.
Q: How is the technology progressing on the Bus rolls, bus checks and behaviour capturing system?
A: There hasn’t been any progress with Bus technology as the Transport Management Solution has not been
included in the School’s budget for this year. There were several other projects and programs that had priori-
ty. However, it will be reviewed at end of 2018 for possible inclusion in the 2019 budget.
Q: Will there be access to Sentral for CA’s?
A: Access to Sentral is being considered very carefully in light of the upcoming privacy legislation. Sentral
contains a substantial amount of confidential data and a Privacy Policy for Sentral needs to be developed.
The review of data protection in our schools is currently being worked on at a global level as OneSchool is
handling data from various countries that all have different requirements and levels of compliance. We have
to take on the policy of the strictest country to comply globally.
If there is a particular concern, go to the Head of Campus and they will assist you.
Eventually Sentral may hold policies, but at the moment, all policies and procedures are available on the One-
School support site (support.oneschoolglobal.com).
Q: Video/DVD/Movie vetting & approval process – is there a national OSG Video approval system or
are there standards that could be followed consistently? Could there be a national review team and a
central repository of approved videos for subject areas that teachers nationally could go to first? This
would make for consistency of approvals.
A: Video/DVD/Movie vetting and approving isn’t an IT responsibility. This is a Curriculum responsibility that
is looked after by the National Resource Vetting Team. You can contact the Team Leader dedicated to your
region with any queries.
