RENEWING your JOY of Math Standards with Statewide
Competitions
In this session teachers will learn how to “strengthen and tone” math standards in their K-12
classrooms using statewide competitions. These competitions include The Stock Market
Game, Color the Concepts, and the SC Finance Challenge. Financial literacy can be an
overlooked area of mathematics in grades K-12. With statewide competitions, teachers can
reinforce and support numerous traditional math standards in a fun and engaging way.
Teachers will leave feeling empowered and ready to bring these FREE resources back to their
classrooms to implement right away!
