Representation Matters – Putting it all Together
Looking for ways to connection with your students by using mathematical representations in
your classroom? Planning lessons that support the translation between mathematical
representations will enhance your students’ understanding of the content. In this session, we
will discuss different five mathematics representations and model lessons that will naturally
lead to certain representations. This session will also provide advice on how to meet the
individual needs of Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III students ensuring instructional equity for all
students while meeting their SEL needs

Gamifying Your Classroom
In this session participants will learn techniques on how to “gamify” their K-12 classrooms in
order to create an engaging environment for learners, increase positive student behavior and
friendly competition. Participants will be introduced to over 20 techniques beneficial to turning
boring classroom assignments into a game-based learning experience. Participants will leave
fired up and ready to transform their classrooms.
