               Airplanes 1930s. Purchased at a Tacoma antique show in 2005. 73"x76" Fabric: Cotton. Batting: Medium
               weight cotton. Backing: White cotton muslin. Edge: The back is brought to the front 1 " and caught by
               hand. Piecing: By machine. Quilting: By hand in a square grid 1½" across, 4 to 5 stitches per inch. Condition:
               Acceptable. The top has a pinkish cast probably from being washed with something red. Comment: This
               pattern became popular following Lindbergh’s 1927 transatlantic flight, and is collectable as a period
               piece.
