Hawaiian Two-toned Appliqué on Yellow 1930s. Sold by Julie Silber, well known quilt specialist and museum
consultant. 78"x81" Fabric: Cotton. Batting: Thin cotton. Backing: Cotton yellow blue-green and pink print
characteristic of 1930s. Edge: Blue-green machined to the front and stitched in back by hand. Piecing: Ap-
pliqué by hand with invisibly close stitching. Quilting: Lines ½" apart parallel to the edge of the appliqués
(traditional). Condition: Good. The green appliqué shows minor wear. There is a 1" split in a yellow.
