               Hawaiian "Pikake and Tuberose" Variation As late as 1970’s revival of Hawaiian quilts as art. eBay purchase
               out of Hawaii in 2016. The vendor had bought it at a trade show from a merchant who said simply that he
               had bought it in Hawaii. 103"x109" Fabric: Cotton. Batting: Light to medium weight. Backing: Cotton, same
               dark teal color as the front. Edge: Applied white tape. Piecing: By hand. Quilting: By hand, echo pattern,
               8 stitches per inch, lines ½" apart. Condition: Pristine. Comment: See similar design in "Hawaiian Quilting
               as an Art," copyright 1976 by Kepola U. Kakalia, and in quilts photographed at the Bishop Museum in
               Honolulu.
