      Zakat  on  crops  is  among  the  most  important  forms  of
    Islamic zakat. Allah says:
   “And give its due on the day of harvest.” – Al-An’am: 141
   In Sudan a country where the majority of the population depends
   on agriculture — crop zakat represents the leading source of zakat
   revenue, contributing about 65% of the total zakat income, accord-
   ing to o…cial reports. †e collection process varies depending on
   several factors, including type of farming sector, crop, and irriga-

   Agricultural Sectors in Sudan and Zakat Rates
   Sudan's agriculture is divided into three main sectors, each with

   irrigation type and production conditions:
   Rainfed Sector
