She found that for many San Antonio Families, Christmas just did not exist. Louise began to look for a way to provide a few
Christmas presents to some of these children. That first year, with the help of a friend, she collected gifts for children in 13
families.
The current day Elf Louise Christmas Project has evolved into a community based 100% volunteer organization, with more
than 4,500 volunteers who wrap and deliver gifts during the Christmas season.

Each year the Confluence Chapter of Top Teens of America sponsored by Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. Confluence
Chapter provides services to the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Walk in downtown St. Louis. Susan G. Komen Missouri is an
independent, local nonprofit organization dedicated to
fighting breast cancer and to meeting the breast health needs
of the women, men and families most at risk and most in need
in the organization's 38-county Missouri/Illinois service area
The day begins before the break of day, with the Ladies and
Teens arriving at 530am. It’s dark and cool but the Teens

come prepared to work.
This year the Confluence Chapter was assigned the Ford
Cares Warriors in Pink Tent. Setting up the tent is the first
step, organizing the highly sought after and collectible Ford
Warriors Breast Cancer Scarves and literature; the Teens are
ready to greet the first guests at the walk. As the sun begins
to creep up, quickly the line grows and the Teens spring into
action. Some Teens man the tables and keep the scarves

stocked and ready for distribution; others begin to distribute
the scarves to people in the line to keep the line moving.
Once the race begins, the line settles and the Teens are able to
relax and breathe before the cleanup begins. Confluence Teens, Dominic Bell, LilyAnna Harris,
