Raleigh Chapter Ladies and Teens spent an early Spring Saturday cleaning in the John Stokes Park
and the Hillcrest Cemetery. Both properties are located in Southeast Raleigh and have been
adopted by the Raleigh Chapter members.
The Ladies, Teens and community partners met at John Stokes park to clear away Winter debis and
plant summer bulbs. Along with volunteers from the City Parks System Ladies and Teens cleared
15 plus bags of clippings and debris.
Once the park was was completed the group traveled over to the Hillcrest Cemetary, an African
American Cemetery on Garner Road. Along with community volunteers the Teens and Ladies
assisted in carring away limbs and branches.
