 The Franchell Boswell Foundation held a fundraiser which included a fashion show
and a trio that was out of this world! Kudos to Ladies Peggy Lewis LeCompte
and Jacquelyn Heath Parker.

 The hottest ticket in town was the Community Awards Public Meeting where seven
(7) outstanding community leaders were honored: Lady Ina Boon, Posthumously,
accepted by her son Gentry Trotter; The Honorable Jimmie M. Edwards; Mary Lou
Green; Orvin Kimbrough; Michael P. McMillan; Dr. Linda Baker Roby; and Gloria
Taylor. A special award - the Support, Enhance and Sustain Award - was
presented to Lady Jackie W. Pope, 11th National President, for her continued
and unwavering support of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc.

For the National Service Project, over 1,000 stuffed full backpacks were packed
by TTA and provided to six different entities in the St. Louis Area through the TTA
Blessings in a Backpack Initiative.

Over 500+ purses were donated to Dress for Success along with other
accessories. The Evergreen Park Chicago Chapter donated 264 of those
purses. Kudos to the ladies of the Evergreen Park Chicago Chapter!

Teen Cameron Edwards of the Missouri City Chapter choreographed a special
performance for the event after which the National President awarded him with a
$2,500.00 stipend/scholarship/grant from the Anthony J. Hall Endowment Fund
and Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. Teen Cameron will be interning with Alvin Ailey
in the fall. We know that he will continue to do us proud.

Approximately $27,000.00 in Scholarships were awarded. Scholarships in the
amount of $2,500.00 each were awarded as follows:

Area I Teens Kennedy Myers and Grace Dodd - Shreveport
Teen Alexia Caleb - Missouri City
Area II Teen Danielle Offutt - Prince George's County
Area III Teen Cyan Simmons - Will County Black Diamond Chapter
Area IV Teen Richard Brown II - Raleigh
Teen Tyrese Hobbs - Nashville
Area V Teen Victoria Cater - Indianapolis
Area VI Teen Lauryn Jordan - Ladera Heights

The technical scholarship in the amount of $1,500.00 was awarded to Teen Jaylen Bush
- Midway Chicago Chapter - Area III, and the grand prize winner of the $5,500.00
scholarship was Teen Josef Sorrells of the Trinity West Chapter - Area I.

The A-TEAAM Coordinators and participants were recognized and each participating
chapter was awarded $1,000.00 stipends.

The winners of the Lady Dorothy Allen Chimney Black History Bowl received monetary
awards contributed by Lady Dorothy Chimney, 8th National President. Thanks Lady
Chimney.
