The First Place Speaker's Tournament Winner, Teen Raven Miller, recited her award
winning speech.

 The Health, Career and College Fair convened with over 50 exhibitors and
presenters. AARP sponsored Kim Coles from Living Single who posed for photo
ops with the ladies and Teens, participated in a Caregiving panel and held a book
signing. A list of all of the vendors who were present is included in the Conference
Workbook. Thanks to Ladies Lena Rush, Nina Caldwell and Ruby Allen-Ellis
for their commitment and dedication to the Fairs. Thanks to Ladies Audrie
Lawton, Dorothy Fisher, Crystal Davis and Brenda Roper for participating on
the panel.

 The fun continued at the Pink & Silver Ball. Twenty Ladies were presented, Mr.
and Miss Top Teens were presented, Kevin Catchings provided the entertainment,
UNCF was presented with a check for $10,000.00 and Mr. Perry Tarrant, Assistant
Chief, Seattle Police Dept., and President of NOBLE (National Organization of
Black Law Enforcement Executives), presented a talk about his organization of
which we are hoping to become partners. The Lords received a gift from the
National President, the host chapter was acknowledged, and the night ended with
the introduction of the 2017-2019 Officers.

In addition, the Teens were all over St. Louis. (See the App photos.) They started off the
conference with a meltdown, packed over 1000 backpacks, participated in workshops,
Literacy Café, Talent Show, Spelling Bee, Speaker's Tournament, had an offsite event
where they met the Founder of the Dred Scott Foundation and took pictures, had a photo
op with Kim Coles, went to Sweetie Pies and ate pizza with the National President.
Generally, they had a good time. Kudos to all of our talented, smart and creative Teens.
Special congratulations to Former Teens Le'Zaire Reese, Cameron Bouligny and Kerry
Jones who presented an excellent Overview of College Life to our Teens who were very
excited and had many intelligent thought provoking questions that our former teens had
right on time responses for. Top Ladies in attendance also participated and enjoyed the
dialogue, even asking that this type of workshop be repeated.

To the host cluster - Area III South Cluster Chapters: Cardinal, Confluence, East St. Louis
and St. Louis - and the Coordinators - Lady Sylvia Yandle, Chairman and Ladies Dorothy
Fisher, Delores Green and Lena Rush, Co-Chairmen - thank you for all the love and time
that you put into ensuring that the 40th Syn-Lod was a pleasant memory. Thanks to Lady
Jackie Settles, "the warden,"  for taking special care of her "boys" - the Lords. To the
Registration Team headed by Chairmen Ladies Mamie Hughes and Adrianne Mann,
thank you for your sisterly attitude at all times. I would like to send a special shout out of
thanks to the ladies who came, even though they were not in attendance, and helped set
up and organize on their own time - Ladies Eunice Atkinson, Cecilia Shipps Anakwe,
CeeCee, Lola Key, Camille McCaskill, JoAnne Martin, Taumosa Brooks, Louella
Hawkins, Amber Golden Smallwood and Villa Jones. A special thanks to Lady Mary
Leach Davis, National Area III Director, who not only participated as a member of her
chapter but was the Chairman of the Souvenir Journal which is posted on line. If you
