A Night at the Festival YLE Flyers Reading and Writing Part 5
their chopsticks. A nice man in a gold costume gave them two cookies. Now
they were full.
The festival was full of children and parents laughing. People were walking
everywhere and they could smell delicious food all around them. They
heard some people playing music with the drums.
At one part of the festival there were games that children could play and if
you won, you got a prize! There was a jumping game, a clapping game and
a game to make an animal with paper.
“Mum, can we play the clapping game please?” Emma and Frank asked.
“Yes! I played the clapping game when I was a young girl.” Mum answered.
Emma and Frank were surprised and asked their mum to play with them.
Then it started to rain and there was a storm. They got their umbrellas out
and waited for the rain to stop. Now they were wet, full and tired so they
got in a taxi and went home. It was a great night at the festival.
