2.1.4. REMOVAL OF ENCROACHMENT:

Division has removed 220 encroachments (130 hard and 90 soft) in
BDCR station area which are more than 25 years old in railway land
with the help of state civil police and RPF. These were spread over 1 km
length and 30 m wide permanent encroachments worth over 60 cr in

kothagudem town. Division has evicted all encroachments and saved
railway land about 7.413 acres of prime land SC division is the first
division to become encroachment free. GM/SCR has sanctioned a
group cash award of 1 lakh for this achievement.
