『有道』與『無道』，如影隨行，如日月星辰，《論語》之『論』（人們）與
『語』（個人），知與愚是心性，言與行是習性，「邦『有道』穀」天下太

平，邦『無道』穀；天下大亂，是以為『恥』，視時務適生存，何『陋』之有

哉！『好學』以就『有道』而正之而已矣！

子曰：「道之以政，齊之以刑，民免而無恥；道之以德，齊之以禮，有恥

且格。」（2.3）

道之以政是用政治領導人民，齊之以刑用刑罰來整飭之，民免而無恥，民

眾苟免刑罰服從政令，非心服。If the people be led by laws, and

uniformity sought to be given them by punishments, they will try to

avoid the punishment, but have no sense of shame.

道之以德以道德導民，齊之以禮，不從政令以禮整飭之。如此，人民有恥

且格，格正也，有羞恥心，且歸於正。If the people be led by virtue, and

uniformity sought to be given them by the rules of propriety, they will

have the sense of shame, and moreover will become good.
