Aroha came out to greet me and expressed that she
felt exactly the same way. She invited me to join her in
picking some fruit for a pie she was making for the
            Professor.
I was still pretty overwhelmed by my recent
personal discoveries and really welcomed the idea of

            postponing leaving.
As we ventured towards the lake where the berries
were, I told Aroha my crazy story of how I had come to
New Zealand on a huge leap of faith. We discussed my
Master’s Degree and how I had applied for and been
accepted to an agriculture research study program here
in New Zealand for my Doctorate.

Then I told her that, furthermore, I was on my way
to find the Foundation to beg them to reinstate me.I
feared it was more than likely already too late, but still
            had to try.
I handed her the letter I carried in the trusty pouch
around my waist. As she read the letter, Aroha
appeared to have a strange look on her face
