She was very beautiful and had
more than one suitor.
One was named Uenuku.
They would meet at night.
Each day she would disappear.
She told him never to follow her.
He loved her too much;
he couldn’t stand it when she left.
One day, he tricked her by blocking all the light,
so that she would think it was dark.
