While California family is in melt down, I’m half
way round the world having a great time. Aroha and I
are becoming really good friends. I was also starting to
get to know a little more about the professor.
One day, as Aroha and I walked into the manor, I
noticed the old album on the porch that the Professor
had been looking at on my first night at the manor.
Aroha also noticed it and asked me to put it on the
bookshelf just inside the door.

As I picked it up, a photo of a small boy fell out.
When I went to put it back in the album, I noticed that
the entire album was filled with this same young child.
I asked Aroha about him and she told me she didn’t
know a lot other than it was the Professor’s son. It
seems he hadn’t been married very long and his ex-wife
had run away with the boy. He had no contact with him
past the wee young age of about three.

When he was grown, the Professor did track him
down and he was invited by his son to his wedding.
Unfortunately, he never got to attend, as his son
tragically died before the wedding and his young grief
stricken bride-to-be fled back to America. It was
rumored she might be pregnant.
Aroha guessed he will never know for sure, as there
was no contact after she fled, and that was over twenty
years ago.
