Just then Aroha and the Professor showed up. I
said, thank you, over and over again and then
reluctantly said goodbye.
The Professor hinted that I need not run off, but I
explained that while I hated to leave, I must venture on
in pursuit of my dream.
The Professor agreed that leaving sounded pretty
important and so he started to help me with my things
and we walked towards my car. All of a sudden, Aroha
blurts out, “Professor, tell her”.
The Professor began to laugh, picked up my suitcase
and started walking back to the house. By now, I’m
totally confused, when, Aroha says, “Kori you’re
already here. This is the manor where the research
project is being done.”
I was totally stunned and in disbelief. Turned out,
following my rainbow had brought me right where I
needed to be. J.E.A. Foundation was actually John E.
Armstrong Foundation.
He let me know that he had been quite impressed
with my research and the direction that I was pursuing,
and had been very disappointed when the acceptance
was declined. Fortunately for me, he had gotten
distracted so a new candidate had not been chosen.
