dumped me in the bushes. I was not an accomplished
rider but managed to hold on for dear life.
Fortunately, Pita was a very experienced rider and
came to my rescue by catching my reins and bringing
both our horses to a complete stop. My heart was still
racing as he leaned over and kissed me.
WOW, what a kiss it was. I became a bit flustered
and was definitely blushing.
I really didn’t have a lot of boy experience, if you
know what I mean. I was always too busy with studies.
Of course, I did have a few crushes and went to Prom,
but guys were mostly my friends and that right one
with chemistry, just had never come along.
Nevertheless, I had to admit there was something
about this wild boy, named, Pita, that gave me goose
bumps all over when he came close with that strong
muscular body and those piercing dark eyes. Oh yes, it
was a dangerous and exciting time for a very sheltered
young woman, named Kori Bailey.
With all the excitement, I didn’t notice that my
father’s necklace had fallen off my neck.
As I was still relishing our first kiss, he guided both our
horses to the edge of a magnificent ravine to introduce
me to one of his favorite places, a breath-taking
waterfall that he called, Waihi.
