I came to understand, each mountain, river,
waterfall, stone, all of nature was acknowledged as if it
were a living person. They all had names and were
respected in a very special way.
It seemed a little odd at first, but wonderful in many
ways. In a strange way, if we truly understood our
connection and interdependence on all of nature, we
just might be less inclined to exploit, pollute or destroy
what we naively believe we have dominion over.
In reality, it is this intricate balance that our very
existence relies on.
“Oh no, I’m starting to sound like Pita,
what’s happening to me?”
