He yelled at me to come down before I really hurt
myself and reprimanded me not to get so worked up
over a silly piece of jewelry. When he saw that I was
determined to leave, he grabbed his clothes and came
after me, to ensure that I didn’t seriously injure myself.
Once we reached the top, he gathered the horses
and followed me as I started desperately looking on the
trail and in bushes.

We searched for a long time and his patience was
wearing very thin. He informed me we would have to
go as the horses had to be back before dark.
He kept going on about how it was just a silly piece
of jewelry and I should just stop being so crazy.

I finally blurted out, “It’s not just a silly piece of
jewelry. It was a gift from my father.”

Then a miracle happened, Pita found it

At the time he didn’t tell me the whole story, but
when he stumbled upon the necklace the locket was
wide open with a greenstone half in and half out.

He was stunned as it was a delicately carved rose
greenstone, just like his vision at the explosion.
