Governor Charlie Crist has appointed Alfredo Avalos to

Hospital District and oversees all actions of Memorial
Healthcare System. Alfredo Avalos
Avalos, a regional investigations aggravated felonies
detective, has been with the Broward County Sheriff’s office
for the past seven years. While with the county, he also has served as a property
crimes detective, a field-training officer and a road patrol deputy.
Prior to working for BSO, Avalos spent eleven years with the Florida Highway
Patrol, serving in a variety of capacities.
