The  farmer's  life

          improved, and he became

          more wealthy         . He warned

          his son to keep offering milk to

          the snake when he had to

          leave the village. However,

          the son grew greedy and

          decided to steal all the

          gold coins he believed

          were  hidden  in  the

          snake's burrow        . He hit the snake

          with a stick, and in anger, the snake

          bit the son, causing his death.


                                                                 When the farmer returned, he was

                                                                   heartbroken to hear about his son's

                                                                             death. He blamed the snake,

                                                                                             but  when  the

                                                                                             snake  explained

                                                                                    the  truth,  the  farmer

                                                                                         realised  it  was  his

                                                                                         son's greed that had

                                                                                       caused  the  tragedy          .

                                                                                       He apologised to the

                                                                                       snake, but the snake

                                                                                       chose  to  end  their

                                                                                       friendship, as neither

                                                                                      could forget the past.
