    Maintaining a Strong Emotional Connection with Your

         K risti Thomas, the founder and CEO of
                                                                    Lunchology, started out with a simple
                                                                    goal. To help daughter Madison deal
                                                         with separation anxiety at school, she started
                                                         drawing pictures and inspirational messages on
                                                         her daughter’s brown paper lunch bags, adding
                                                         “little love notes from home.” They served their
                                                         purpose, helping Madison get through that dif-
                                                         ficult time. Soon her daughter’s classmates and
                                                         their moms were asking for their own lunch bag
                                                         designs . . . and a business was born.
