Introduce a lottery-style competition to public
transport systems such as the underground to
encourage general usage and reduce fare dodging. Each
valid ticket passing through the electronic barriers on
the tube, for example, would be considered as an entry
to the lottery. If a passenger won a prize, the barrier

155would feed out a lucky ticket that could be immediately
redeemed. Lucky tickets would be exchanged for
incentive style prizes such as additional travel passes
or credits at platform retailers.
