ARISE OH SLEEPER!
Jonah a man of God was sent to Nineveh to preach against it but chose to run to Spain by a
ship headed there. He was sent to Nineveh to preach a message of repentance but he run
away from his mission.
What type of Christians are we if we don’t preach the message of repentance to a dying
world.
Gen. 20:1-13:- Abraham and Sarah at Gerar.
Abraham did not believe in God’s protection that his wife would be saved everywhere he
went. Our actions may or may not help the situation of others but we should not chose to
sleep as the country “goes to the dogs”
We are called to intercede on behalf of our nation and not let our generation be fooled into
becoming complacent.
Matt: - Salt and Light.
God has called us to be the salt and light of this world. We should arise and stand in the gap
knowing that we are in the world but not of it. We are called to rebuke bondages and yokes
that come our way.
John 17:1-26:-
Jesus prays for himself and his disciples:
1. Jesus Prays For Himself (Vs. 1-5)
1 Jesus said these things; then, lifting his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the time has now
come; give glory to your Son, so that the Son may give glory to you:
2 Even as you gave him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all those whom you
have given to him.
3 And this is eternal life: to have knowledge of you, the only true God, and of him whom you
have sent, even Jesus Christ.
4 I have given you glory on the earth, having done all the work which you gave me to do.
5 And now, Father, let me have glory with you, even that glory which I had with you before
the world was.
2. Jesus Prays For His Disciples
Christ has revealed the name of the lord:-
To those the father has taken out of this world.
