P. 34
He must always love the Word of Christ and remain in him, and then it will be possible to
receive what he asks of God.
He must bear fruit for the Father's glory and reproduce and multiply other disciples.
He must remain in God's love and abide in Christ as Christ abides with the Father.
He must be in obedience to Christ's commandments. Christ said that the proof of our love for
him is to obey his commands and his command is; love each other.
He must have complete joy in him coz it comes from Jesus.
He must love others and sacrifice for them by the means of his time, money and possessions.
He must be a friend of God like Abraham and David were. Friends are no longer servants of
Christ but sons, coz servants don’t abide in the master's house nor do they receive what he has
for his sons.
A disciple is not self ordained but rather is called by Christ like God called Jeremiah before he
was even born and intended that he be a prophet to the nations.
Discipleship is a calling. Christ said that we did not choose him but he chose us to bear much
fruit, fruit that will last a life time.
Whatever he asks, it must always be in God's name.
