Periodical joint inspection of wagon suppliers by Mechanical officers
& siding authorities (once in 12 months) is being ensured.

xi. Online Monitoring of Rolling Stock (OMRS):
Present:

Online Monitoring of Rolling Stock (OMRS) was installed and
commissioned by M/s RT Vision technologies, Noida, Delhi (Indian
Agent of M/s Track IQ, Australia) at LC gate no 75 near SKZR
station between km no 206/30-28 on the Dn Main line in BPQ-WL
section on 29.01.2021, through work order issued by COFMOW.

This is used to identify following defects on Rolling stock
(Coaching, Freight & Locomotives) during run:

 Bearing defects through Rail Bearing Acoustic Monitor (Rail

BAM) by comparing the preloaded sounds of defective
bearings.
 Wheel defects through Wheel Condition Monitor (WCM) by

measuring wheel impact load on Rail.

Whenever any alert (Rail BAM/WCM) is generated in OMRS, a
message will be received by C&W Control/SC. SSE/Control/SC,
