1. Test Stand for Pantograph Plunger Box Assembly

WAG-7 electric locos are fitted with AM-12 type pantograph. Plunger
box assembly is a critical component of Pantograph. After overhaul
of plunger box assembly, the same is fitted on the pantograph
assembly and testing is done. If any defect is noticed, it is removed,

overhauled and re-fitted on pantograph. Hence to avoid testing on
pantograph, a test stand is designed and fabricated for testing of
PLUNGER BOX ASSEMBLY. This reduces the time of re-work and also
spare plunger box assemblies are made ready, before fitment on
pantograph.
