GENERAL PERFORMANACE:

OVER VIEW OF ELECTRIC LOCO SHED KAZIPET

Electric Loco Shed located at KAZIPET SHED was sanctioned for homing of
100 locomotives in 1998 and Shed construction was started in 2002.

The Trip Shed was inaugurated on 14 October 2004 & Main shed was
th
commissioned on 01 March 2008 to cater the needs of freight traffic
st
requirements.

Now, the shed is homing 80 WAG-7 locos and 112 WAG-9H/HC locos. The
shed augmentation works from 100 to 125 locos was sanctioned and

implemented. The shed augmentation works from 125 to 175 Locos is
sanctioned under PWP 16-17 and works are under progress.

ACTIVITIES OF THE SHED:

⮚ Minor schedules viz. IT, IA, IB, IC1, IC2, and IC-0.

⮚ Major schedules viz. TOH & IOH.

⮚ TRIP schedules & yard attentions of foreign locos.

⮚ Un-schedule repairs of all locos (including Foreign Locos).

⮚ Maintaining special featured locomotives having DPWCS,TCAS,RTIS,
RMS & CVVRS
DPWCS System provided in 24 Locomotives (LOTUS=22& MEDHA=02
Locos)

TCAS system provided in 20 Locomotives (HBL=06, MEDHA=12 and
KERNEX=02 Locos)
RTIS System provided in 21 WAG-9 Locomotives (BEL=21 Locos)
RMS system provided in 08 WAG-9 locomotives (LOTUS=08 Locos)
CVVRS system provided in 11 WAG-9 locomotives (KAMNEY
Electronics =10 Locos+ 1-In house provision))
