When you feel this sort of wholeness, you are more sensitive to your
environment, including the people in it, and to your physical body. You can
perceive, love, problem-solve, create, and even fight close to your full
potential. You have your full energy available to you in this state, and
consequently you can more fully enjoy this life. When, on the other hand,
your energy is tied up in an internal conflict, i.e., a duality, you don’t have
much energy left over to experience and enjoy your body, your life, or the
world around you.
In this state of being, you will feel anxious and/or disgruntled and/or
bottled-up and/or empty. In short—you will not enjoy yourself. Your
gremlin prefers you to stay in a state of duality. Here is a conceptualization
of a person in duality:
Let me remind you to do yourself a favor and simply read and enjoy this
book. Do not, I repeat, do not try to figure out anything. The real you
understands what you have read. No analysis is necessary. Relax and
breathe. If you get confused and/or distracted, simply stop for a while.
TIPS FOR SIMPLY NOTICING YOUR GREMLIN
An undetected gremlin can create asthma, heart attacks, ulcers, colitis,
headaches, backaches, neuroses, psychoses, and just about any other
malady you can imagine. You, however, have nothing to worry about so
long as you are able to simply notice him. Be very specific about noticing
any tension in your body, for this will clue you to your gremlin’s presence.
If, for example, you notice that your breathing is shallow, pay attention
to exactly how shallow it is. If your neck is tight, what muscles does the
tightness cover? How tight is your neck? If you have a headache, how deep
