From Me to You: Here and Now
The payoff for me in writing this book has been my enjoyment of the
process. The process has included some vague fantasies of future
recognition, money, and security, so I know that my gremlin is on the scene
—just waiting to hypnotize me into confusing desires with expectations.
Sneaky little bastard. He’s so persistent. Yet, I don’t fear him. Something
very beautiful is happening in my life as I spend more time in tune with the
natural me instead of with him. Simply having that as my intention leaves
me feeling enormously satisfied. Increasingly, I’m more in touch with the
natural me and with the true love that is the essence of us all. I feel it at this
moment. Often I have this feeling when I’m speaking or writing from my
heart. I like it very much.
Serving this love feels good, and we all have the opportunity to serve it
in two ways. First, you can serve it up in the same way you would serve
someone a luscious piece of apple pie; that is, you can allow the experience
of the natural you and the love that is the essence of the natural you to be
reflected in your words and actions.
Second, you can serve this love as you would a master; that is, respond
to it, let it guide you. It will tell you what to say, what to do, whom to hang
with, and more. Writing this book feels like serving love to me, and it’s the
best feeling I know.
Taming my gremlin and becoming more in tune with my essence is the
main event of my life. It’s a breath-to-breath hobby.
