Thanks to all of you who take pride in your property. Keep up the great work! We’ll be judging ‘Yard of the Month’ nominations every month and announcing the winner in Newswatch.
Nominations can be submitted any time to our website address: beautification@shawebwatch.com. When you drive down a street of well-kept lawns and landscaping the pride of ownership shows and sends a positive message to visitors to our neighborhood. That pride often correlates to higher value.

Parking Laws that Apply to Shenandoah Residents
Sheriff’s Deputies enforce the traffic and parking laws that are defined by Parish Ordinance. They don’t enforce subdivision restrictions or SHA rules. For the most part, traffic and parking ordinances that apply within the City of Baton Rouge apply to recognized subdivisions throughout the City-Parish, including us.
The following is not a complete listing of City- Parish Parking Ordinances, but an attempt to inform you of those which apply to us. Please note that on- street parking in a subdivision is allowed except as noted.
Sec. 11:415. Stopping, standing or parking prohibited; general rules.
(a) No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle, or permit a vehicle registered in his name to be stopped, standing or parked, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with law
