First, let us work out the impedance (using Pythagoras).
So, the impedance is 22.36Ω. We cannot describe impedance as a single number if
there is reactance present. So, we need to find the phase angle of this current.
We know the three sides of a right-angle triangle and we want to find ϴ. We could
use any of the basic trigonometric functions, but let's suppose that we did not find
(Z) the hypotenuse first and all we then know was the adjacent (X L) and opposite (R).
