8 x 7 meter regulators with a drainage rate of 550
million cubic meters/second, 3 diversion canals
with a total length of 39.66 kilometers, 1 canal with
a length of 8.80 kilometers, and a water delivery
system. Covering a beneficial area of 78,358 rai.
Project implementation period of 5 years (2019 - 2023),
a budget of 2,100 million baht, and proposed to
the NWRC, which had a resolution in the meeting
No. 3/2018 on 14 September2018,8 and the Cabinet
resolution on 8 January 2019, approved the Royal
Irrigation Department to carry out the construction
and requested to extend the project implementation
period to 8 years (2019 - 2026).
The project performance so far has progressed
42.39% (as of June 2023) and upon completion will be
able to alleviate the flooding in the city of Sakon Nakhon
and Khok Si Suphan District. Helping people for
consumption and agriculture covers an area of
78,358 rai, 10,857 households, and 53 villages,
