Scapa Skiren
Nose: Classic Scapa apples – waxy green, toff ee-covered
and apple pie. With them comes a touch of sea spray, with
both brine and a gently medicinal hint, some almost rye-
whiskey-like spice and a hint of mint.
Palate: Soft and sweet, with brown-sugar-dusted buttery
shortbread, a core of dried and candied apple slices, ground
spice, and an autumnal surround of damp forests.
Finish: Apple skin, Ryvita and green leaves, with soft brown
        sugar.

        Caol Ila 12 Year Old
Nose: An intensely rich nose of Shreddies and toff ee with
hints of violet. When left in the glass for a minute or two,
smoky bacon notes were also apparent.
Palate: Fairly light in texture with notes of toff ee, vanilla
and pear joined by a hint of ash on the very back palate.
Finish: Light in intensity, but not in complexity. Th e sweeter
notes from the palate end fairly quickly, leaving a delightful
subtle fi nish of ash, tar and light peat.

        Ledaig 10 Year Old
Nose: Quite light and well-balanced. Th ere is a very soft
peat with a gentle smoke. Notes of barley and malt extract,
with walnut and pine oil and a hint of iodine, dried fruit
        and nuts.
Palate: Medium-bodied and quite rich. Th ere are notes of
spice and smoke gathering above the charred oak. Th e peat
is quiet and dry with a touch of black pepper and earth.
Finish: Medium-length and slightly smoky with spice.
